We petition the White House to dedicate executive and legislative attention to exploring the possibility of Domestic High-Speed Rail (or Maglev) systems.
-Over 27k rail systems are present in the world, but not a single line exists in America. Over 14k are in China, Europe employs thousands of lines, and 650 are used in Russia alone--many of which use the same size rails used in this country
-Americans are statistically more interested in high speed rail over air travel
-American innovators have the opportunity to make technological advances, especially if a government financial prize is at stake.
-Offer Interstate public transportation, resulting in increased domestic tourism.
-Massive Job creation is a result, whether in public or private sector, with clear public benefit.
