Due to the recent offensive of ISIL forces in northern Iraq, many members of the minority Yazidi faith are stranded on Mount Sinjar. While airlifting supplies to them is an excellent start, the US should explore options of rescuing these refugees. Whether this involves coordinating with Kurdish forces to maintain an escape corridor or airlifting refugees, something must be done.
