30-foot tides come and go twice daily in the North end of the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez) in the Guaymas, San Felipe area.
Catch basins made by low dams containing reversing turbo-generators can be built there.
These would be self-liquidating, add-on projects which would: 1- create thousands of jobs, Mexican and American. 2- Power up our Southwest and Mexico's Northern States.
3-Help solve the illegal immigration issue.
4-Be an enduring monument to Mexican-American peace and cooperation. 5- Will be much easier to build than a high dam like Hoover. 6- Create new recreation areas accessed by a dam-top highway. 7- Hydro-electric is a proven source of clean energy.
