"Express concern against the International War Crime Tribunal and Mob Justice in Bangladesh"

Created by M.M. on February 21, 2013

While people from all walks of life expressed solidarity with the Shahbagh movement to ensure capital punishment for war criminals, bigots have targeted mosques across the country to run hate campaigns against the demonstrators.

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, a radical Islamist organisation based in Hathazari, Chittagong, on Wednesday urged imams of 4 lakhs mosques to “alert” people through their sermons on Friday about “anti-Islamic activities” of the bloggers involved in the Shahbagh movement.

The organisation said it was planning a long march to Dhaka and besieging the capital to press home their demand of “stopping anti-Islamic activities at Shahbagh”.
