We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Extend the 22nd Amendment Presidential election restriction to all members of an immediate family.

Created by B.M. on July 27, 2016

The country has seen families dominating the executive branch over the last 30 years. Our country was founded on the principle of government by the people and not by ruling families and their friends. Without any restriction, a family in power can extend the duration of executive branch domination to spouse and siblings for decades. Two terms of office for any members of an immediate family including spouse and siblings to hold the office of President of the United State should be sufficient and fair. Individuals are eligible to serve in other government positions and grandchildren and great grandchildren are still able to serve as long as the restriction remains for the immediate family members.
