The 27th amendment to the Constitution should be extended to include all active duty military, with the Commanding generals and post command sergeants majors having vote once every three years to decide to raise or lower the income and benefits of soldiers. Just like the members of congress have the power to decide thier income levels. Or at the least, remove the 27th amendement, or set the pay of congress based on the amount of time spent in secession and relative issues solved. The pay of our soldiers should never be a bargaining chip, or even a discusiion point when deciding on the budget, it should be a given and never even discussed as taken away to meet budget.
