Currently the 22nd Amendment allows the president only two terms of four years, this petition is created in the hope that a presidency could be extended.
This petition is to raise awareness about the House Joint Resolution 15 to repeal by Rep. Jose Serrano, in hopes that it could be potentially brought back to the table.
Signing this petition says to the government that we are in need of not just a leader but a commander in chief.
It is also of note that this petition is out of fear that the next election may not be able to produce a leader of Obama's ability (or political affiliation).
Personally, a few days before the Obama Romney election I realized I was actually scared of a Romney presidency. I worry for the future of our country (and women's rights) were there a Romney presidency.
