Whereas 28 million Americans suffer from significant hearing loss that interferes with communication, I would like to see the ADA and ACA strengthened to ensure that health insurance companies are no longer allowed to ignore this significant population of Americans who are, in many instances, being denied necessary treatment in the form of hearing aids. 75% of people who could benefit from hearing aids are not using them--often due to a lack of insurance coverage by health insurance companies.
