The government approved nearly half-a-million DACA applications in 2013. But these Dreamers have one or both parents who are still in limbo. That is unsettling for families.
Extending DACA to the parents of QUALIFIED Dreamers will put both parents and kids on the same legal footing and ensure these Dreamers can access funding for college, that families can prosper and propel the economy forward.
As long as a PARENT has a child who is ELIGIBLE for DACA, then that PARENT CAN APPLY...(even if the child DID NOT APPLY or DOES NOT PLAN TO APPLY) - for DACA!
It is time to bring relief to families. Stop the separations!
