We need a bill passed that will help expand the current programs available to refinance to several million more homeowners who have been unable to refinance at these record low interest rates. If the HARP and special FHA refinance programs would move the qualifying date from May 31, 2009 to Dec. 31 2010 it will allow millions more to refinance. This will put billions of dollars back into the economy and help keep this recovery alive. This will help homeowners on both sides of the political fence. This proposal will not require tax payer dollars and will actually reduce the default risk to the GSE's and FHA.
