WHEREAS: Light from the sun is our most precious natural resource without which life on earth could not exist
WHEREAS: An abundance of solar energy brought about by the lengthening of daytime could help end our dependence on fossil fuels
WHEREAS: The vast majority of violent crime occurs at nighttime
WHEREAS: American economic productivity and labor occur at much higher rates while the sun is visible to the naked eye
WHEREAS: The current policy of Daylight Savings Time is a great miracle of modern science that literally saves an hour of daylight
THEREFORE: We the People of the United States of America call for an extension of the Daylight Savings Time clock adjustment to twelve hours, completely eliminating the inconvenience of night.
