The Hale Koa military hotel in Honolulu, Hawai'i has strict eligibility requirements for who can utilize their facilities (rent rooms, etc). These eligibility rules are already quite reasonable and logical, and do include a statute allowing for 100% disabled Veteran access. But those Veterans that deployed and incurred compensatable injuries that do not meet the 100% threshhold fall outside of the eligibility window. Those Veterans already receive 10 point preference for Civilian positions; it is only logical that access to the Hale Koa be extended to them as well. This petition asks that the Administration extend access to the Hale Koa military hotel to Veterans that receive 30% or more VA compensation at a reasonable nightly rate comparable with already existing rates
