Felons are discriminated everyday in the areas of employment, voting rights, and the ability to hold public office. Felons are people. People who once made a mistake, but have paid a penalty for doing so. These people are husbands, wives, sons, and daughters who deserve to be treated as fairly as every other United States Citizens. Too many states, such as Florida, oppress this minority unjustly and therefore go against the very Constitution our country was founded upon. Americans need to stand together on this issue and restore our government, local, state, and federal, to the stance of a country that is for the people and by the people. Stand with us on this quest for equality.
