Extend Federal Emergency Unemployment. Abandoning laid off workers who have exhausted their 6 months of state unemployment benefits is appalling. Where is our humanity? These workers have paid into Social Security throughout their careers and now they get no help. They're losing homes, security, and confidence. Unemployment keeps our economy going while people struggle to find new careers and living wage jobs.
