We demand that our military service members and their families be afforded the same Second Amendment rights as civilians are afforded in the state and local jurisdiction where they are stationed. This would include on and off federal property, on or off duty and would preclude any restrictions by the military command authorities that would reduce these rights beyond those specifically legislatively enacted by Congress. We have witnessed several terrorist attacks on our military service members both on and off military installations. While fully trained in the use of small arms, they are currently denied the same Second Amendment rights to arm themselves as are afforded other citizens. This has placed them in an untenable situation of being defenseless high profile, priority terror targets.
