Extend grant medicaid to cover contraception for women working for employers who eliminate it from their insurance plan

Created by L.L. on July 05, 2014

Either by Executive Order or sending a bill to Congress, President Obama should extend grant medicaid to all women denied access to contraception in their employer's insurance plan, given the Supreme Court's decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby on July 1 and their order to lower courts on July 2 to rehear any cases in which companies sought to deny coverage for any type of contraception, not just the specific types Hobby Lobby opposed.

This new law or order would ensure that women employed by these businesses and organizations do not have to go without while attempts are made to overturn this decision, if that's even possible.

President Obama and Sec. Burwell can demonstrate their unequivocal commitment to women's access to free contraception by enacting this law or order.
