Flooding rains and storm surge from Hurricane Matthew devastated hundreds of thousands of homes, businesses and other structures throughout large parts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. As it has done in other recent flooding events (Hurricane Hermine, 2016 Louisiana floods), FEMA should give affected residents an additional 60 days (for a total of 120 days) in which to submit the required FEMA "Proof of Loss".
