Thus, this petition is about bringing to light the time period in which preadults are still classified by age. Children, adolescents and teenagers are still categorized by an archaic numbering scheme based on numbers to a shorter life span. We adjust cost of living standards to coincide with economic inflation, yet we are still ushered into adulthood at 18 and not expiring until approximately 78. It is unbalanced and today's youth and young adults need more time to mature and learn what life is about before venturing out and try to make something of themselves for the next 60 years.
