Citizens of the United States are fundamentally free and equal in their rights. Limitations on the possession and use of firearms creates an imbalance of power and violates the rights of the law abiding citizens. If firearms such as handguns, high powered rifles and the so called "assault weapons" are deemed to be dangerous in the state of New York, then the laws governing their use among the general populace should apply to all of the people. We the PEOPLE are NOT second rate citizens and demand that if the gun control measures such as the ones signed into law in New York state, if found to be constitutional, apply equally to all individuals of adequate mental health and good moral character disregarding of financial, celebrity, or social status or government affiliation.
