Most citizens in the United States don't actually understand the people they are electing in office because government class in public high schools is taken less seriously then it should. Government is a major factor in every person's life. Therefore, government as a class should be longer and more detailed so as to ensure that future generations understand the knowledge they need to vote for the right people as our leaders. This in return could lead to a better future for the American people.
