But not for retired veterans prior to 2009! Are you a retired veteran with benefits left on your G.I. Bill? You earned that benefit, yet you can't transfer it to your child or spouse. If you're paying for your child's college education out of pocket (mine's $2,900 a month), yet your G.I. Bill is just sitting there going to waste, petition NOW to get the benefit transferred to your spouse or child!
