1/8/15 -- President Obama publishes a video explaining his desire to make community college free for the first 2 years if the individual meets grade requirements.
By signing this petition you are showing your support and desire for this benefit to extend to those who have previously taken loans to attend community college and would have met the grade requirements under the new proposal.
These benefits should include loan forgiveness for the principal balance of any loans accepted, as well as any interest accrued since their acceptance.
American students past, present, and future all bear the burden of educational debt equally, therefore the relief should assist all citizens equally within this proposed change.
