Americans across the country are feeling the pinch of an additional 2% social security tax on their paycheck every two weeks. For most individuals this is an additional 30 to 60 dollars every pay check, double that for two income households.
While this was a tax break that has since run out, over the past few years working Americans have grown accustomed to having this money available in their budget and are scrambling to find ways to make ends meet in already difficult economic times.
Please extend the holiday and return our social security tax from 6.2% back down to 4.2% and give us our paychecks back.
