Extend the Special Immigrant Visa application deadline for both Iraqi and Afghan citizens who aided the U.S. military.

Created by L.Q. on November 29, 2014

The Special Immigrant Visa application deadline has already passed (September 30th, 2014) for Afghan citizens who worked as translators. As well as workers whose deadline is December 30th 2014.
Thankfully, Iraqi applicant's are given until the end of 2015 to submit their application.
However, thousands are unable to be granted visas and are left to be killed by the Taliban and other extremist groups due to mass confusion of the process to obtain a SIV. This includes those who are given so little resources and time to be granted a visa.
We petition Obama to extend the SIV application deadline, as well as provide an easier process to obtain a SIV. We know this is possible because in 1975, hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese citizens immigrated to U.S. soil after The Fall of Saigon.
