Extend Unemployment benefits for people who are currently on Unemployment Insurance, but will be loosing their benefits at the end of the December 30, 2012. New York State Unemployment rate for October 2012 is 8.7 %, (rate does not represent people who lost there benefits only new claims and claims that have not ended) New York is at 41st highest out of the 50 states. The state with the lowest Unemployment rate is North Dakota.
