Last year, you signed into law that the VA extend benefits to Marrines stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC due to contaminated water sources. A report released this year states that the contamination goes as far back as 1953. Veterans stationed there and their families have a variety of health issues including birth defects, breast cancer and liver disease that can be attributed to the chemicals present in the water supply. These veterans and their families deserve to be treated by the VA rather than a 75% denial rate by the VA. They served their country honorably and should be able to receive a reciprocal service from their country.
