High School has always a been a stressful period for teenagers. Teenagers are faced with large workloads, life-changing decisions, and a whole host of personal, family, and societal stresses, which combine to be a hugely trying time. This stress can lead to reduced efficiency, mental illness, loss of self esteem, depression, and in serious cases, suicide. To combat these harmful effects, we would propose an extension to spring break to give students a chance to rest, effectively limiting the amount of stress placed on students.
