Extending the Pell Grant from six years to twelve years allows those who are completing an undergraduate program to do so consecutively. The average amount of years for a student to complete college is seven years. Those who are in compromising financial situations will be able to have some aid to pay tuition. If the years are extended, financial distributors can only allocate the exact amount of the tuition bill. With this type of allocation, it guarantees that the money will not be pocketed but used in the sole purpose for funding education.
