We demand that the Obama administration address the issue of privacy, specifically the privacy of United States citizens. We demand that the administration explicitly state how it plans to rectify this debacle and prevent constitutional rights violations, such as those exposed by Snowden, from taking place in the future. These problems must be solved, and apologizing is just not enough.
The government, rather than taking steps to solve these problems, has decided to focus its resources on hunting down an innocent man. Instead, we demand that the issue of privacy take priority within our government. Violations of constitutional rights should take precedence over the manhunt of a whistle-blower, who has every right to seek political asylum. In fact, many regard him as a hero for such risk.
