Meriam Ibrahim is a 27 year-old doctor and pregnant mother of an 18 month old son. She is Christian, was born and raised Christian by her single mother in Sudan. Her father was muslim, but abandoned her as an infant. Because she refuses to recant her Christian beliefs, she is shackled in a jail with her toddler. She is 8 months pregnant and is not receiving care. Her and her children are being treated like animals. It is inhumane! We are a nation that should not stand by idly and allow governments to destroy innocent human life! The court's have sentenced Meriam to death after the birth of her child by hanging.The government plans to raise her children as Muslim and keep them from their Christian father. I call for their immediate extraction from Sudan while there is still hope for them.
