We plead with the Federal Aviation Administration to move towards making child passengers safer on airlines by streamlining the process for approval of alternative restraint systems.

The FAA has one airplane-only harness approved for use on an aircraft: The CARES harness produced by AmSafe.
The Ride Safer Travel Vest is a similar product and has passed FAA testing. It fits larger children than the CARES, and unlike CARES can be used in a car. Yet the FAA has held up approval for at least a year.
Please streamline the approval process for products like the RSTV and other innovative solutions to keep children safe in the air.
