To Face Both Houses of Congress Under Joint Session for a British-Style "Question Time"

Created by E.A. on June 18, 2014

The president's second term has been marked by foreign policy successes and missteps. He has faced withering criticism from his opponents in Congress. The administration's response has been to hunker low within a communication bunker. Each speech, each safe interview and each public defense by people friendly to the administration are doing ever less to sway public opinion. Meanwhile, Congressional leadership have ignored their own Constitutional war powers responsibility and twice have accused the president, with some success, of weakness in the face of combat decisions in Syria and Iraq. It is time for these two sides to face one another. The American people deserve to see their elected leadership place themselves on politically dangerous ground and let us see government at work.
