One of the cornerstones of the American Revolution was 'No taxation without representation'. And yet to this day there are many territories in the United States where that very representation we fought for is denied our very people.
Puerto Rico and Guam have been American Territories since 1898 and their peoples are full national born American Citizens, and yet due simply to the place they live, they lack any say in our nation wide policies by having no voting power in Congress, and have no Right to vote for President of The United States of America despite Guam providing a quarter their land and an eighth their population to the Armed Services. America Samoans aren't even granted Citizenship, all over a law passed by the same man that wrote the 'Separate But Equal' bill in 1868.
