As it stands, most part time employees are subject to incredibly unfair scheduling that makes it impossible to live. I propose several conditions on employment that would protect part time workers from becoming slaves to their work place. as it stands, part time workers (especially in retail, cleaning, and food) have no way of speaking up without fear of retaliation unless the are lucky enough to have a workers union. This is what I propose.
1.Protect all employees from retaliation for requesting a more flexible, predictable or stable schedule.
2.Compensate retail, food service, and cleaning workers for at least four hours of work if an employee reports into work and is sent home early.
3.Provide employees with at least one hour's pay if they are told not to come to work within 24 hours.
