This petition is important because African American men are being incarcerated at higher rates than any other ethnicity within America. They are subjected to the endless cycle poverty, under skilled, dislocated and inhabit communities that are underdeveloped. The lack of resources has pushed and pulled our brothers, fathers, uncles, cousins and friends into selling illegal substances to provide for themselves and our families.
