Since the early 1990's, video games that simulate college football and college basketball have been staples in the homes of American citizens. However, due to the recent judgment & settlement in the Ed O'Bannon trial vs. EA Sports, these games will no longer be produced.
These games help to encourage children to believe in their ability to play their favorite sports for their favorite schools. This motivation has been proven to increase their want and intrigue in going to college. With a college education being a necessity in today's economy, losing this form of motivation can be devastating to our futures.
I am NOT proposing that the athletes whose likeness is used should not be fairly compensated by EA, but EA should be allowed to continue making these games if they do it legally.
