This petition is to engage the administration to take closer look at the current crisis that is taking place in Charleston, WV. The people there need help and events like this will continue to happen to other communities if actions are not taken to ensure that REAL lessons are learned and recorded.
In the short term, clean and adequate water supply is needed for the immediate families. However, this crisis will impact not just the water supply of the area, but there will be a dramatic economic impact from the clean up as well as depressed property value as this could potentially impact the real estate market. Along with the health risks there are still so many unknowns as this water also flow downstream to other states
