We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Fast Track citizenship for immigrants who provided community service to existing citizens

Created by P.I. on July 30, 2016

Our immigrants are intelligent with dreams and motivations to live the American Dream. Many are also humanitarians or have a humanitarian nature, just a good person. A typical naturalization process takes about 5 years upon entry into the United States. When immigrant performs community services that directly benefit existing citizens, they should be rewarded with a quicker path to citizenship, say in 3 years instead of 5 years. Currently an immigrant can fast track their path to citizenship by either joining the military or by congressional action. By permitting the immigrants who perform community service, the same opportunity to fast track their path to citizenship. This good for everyone!
