Liquid Thorium-salt reactors are in a regulator limbo. Research is limited because of this allocated but blank sections of regulations.
In light of Fukishima, Uranium based reactors have too many risks to continue our dependence on them.

-show promising higher levels safety with net reduction in toxic nuclear waste left overs.
-Thorium is currently classed as a mining waste product, and has been dumped for 50 years with no documented adverse health or environmental issues.
-Thorium based energy production can stop oil dependence world wide.
