The internet was developed by the US government which means it was funded by taxpayers. The reason internet is so slow is because the internet providers are too greedy to spend money on new optic fibers. Many other countries pay the US government for internet and provide for free to their citizens. As taxpayers and American citizens the internet should be free for the American people or at least without paying a third party.
