Fed Acquire & Protect lands in and around the historical battle of Wounded Knee, so they will become a National Monument

Wounded Knee, the site of the last battle against the "Indian" nation is soon to be split up and privately developed unless quick action is taken! This is land not only SACRED to the First Nations of our country, but is a CRITICAL part of our national heritage. We must know how we became who we are today, both the good and the tragic, if we are to grow with wisdom into the future. One is likely to find that most people know something about Wounded Knee & assume this important location in our national history is already a national monument or at the very least a national park. It isn't and will be sold for private development as early as May 1st, 2013. Please, please Mr President, do not let this land sacred to ALL American people, possibly disappear into nothing more than a parking lot!
