Too often, police are resorting to killing people when lesser means could achieve an arrest. This is immoral and contrary to the promises of life and liberty in the United State of America. The current bar for using lethal force is too low and allows law enforcement entities to create, fudge, augment, or invent levels of fear in order to justify killing people.
The basis in law for this behavior must change because killing people snuffs out due process of the law, which enables those who live to tell any story they want. This situation makes people vulnerable to biased or corrupt police officers. Video cameras alone will not prevent officers from making a situation out to be worse than it really is in their minds. Change the law before even thinking about adding cameras to every cop.
