A federal data base is needed that balistally identifys every weapon that is made and sold in this country. They should be fired before they leave the factory and then regisitered with in a Federal Data Base. When the weapon is purchased the new owner is attached to the data base This data base will be accessible by all LAW ENFORCEMENT. Should there be a crime that is involved, this data base will help identify who owned the weapon quicker. Also any weapons that are out in private hands must with in six months be fired and regisiterd with the owners information. This allows for law enforcement and authorities to follow up to possible charges of an owner should the balistics prove that the weapon was used in a crime. If a gun is sold or stolen it must be reported to data base.
