Federal employment Veterans' Preference for reservist/former reservist in recognition for their service.

Created by A.R. on September 01, 2015

Addendum to law in title 5, USC, S 2108 (5 USC 2108), to include Veterans' Preference for reservist/former reservist with honorable or general discharge are eligible with 6 years of service in the Selected Reserve or National Guard.

At this time, the before mentioned law excludes reservist/former reservist unless other criterias are met. Reservist/former reservist have been sworn in, serve in military uniform and should not be treated as second class military personnel when applying for federal employment and classified as GENERAL PUBLIC.

In closing, it would be in the publics best interest and the federal agencies to include reservist/former reservist in the Veterans' Preference pool with (NO PREFERENCE POINTS) awarded.
