After close review of only a few state treasury departments, I uncovered millions of dollars unclaimed by the IRS alone. I have even offered to claim the funds to be returned to the US treasury for a 5% fee. No answer to many calls and emails. Fiscal responsibility is necessary during budget shortfalls and Congress should use this money setting there unclaimed at a minimum to pay down deficit.
