Federal Government: Demand Taylor Swift Give Her 2009 MTV "Best Female Video" Award to Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter

Created by K.L. on July 18, 2016

At the 2009 MTV Music Awards, Taylor Swift was awarded "Best Female Video" for "You Belong With Me", a song that is objectively lesser than Beyonce's video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Mr. Kanye West denounced this decision immediately, boldly stating that Beyonce had, "...one of the best videos of all time", a simple fact that we were nevertheless unprepared to accept as a nation at the time. In light of shameful revelations caught on video about the lies told by Ms. Swift, we call upon the federal government to demand she give the award for "Best Female Video" to the rightful winner, Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter, demonstrating to Ms. Swift that:

"Now we've got bad blood
You know it used to be mad love
So take a look what you've done
Cause baby, now we've got bad blood!"
