The Federal Government should reestablish a well regulated militia. The second amendment should be followed or abolished. When a U.S. citizen purchases a gun they are consenting to be a member of the national militia. The president as commander in chief has the responsibility to regulate and command this force. Such force should be prepared to act at a moment's notice. To ensure this force is trained and evaluated the standing army, such as recruiters, who are present in every community and subdivision of the nation, should take on this responsibility. Currently the reason for the second amendment has been ignored and the only part quoted is the last half resulting is an unorganized armed mob or mobs which is a danger to the security of a free state.
