Guess what's even more efficient than an electric vehicle? No vehicle!
The Federal Government and some state governments offer loads of incentives for driving: tax breaks for electric vehicles, fuel efficiency credits, parking, car-pooling -- you name it.
Some employers offer a $20 / month pittance for bicycle commuters, but there are no direct incentives, and walkers are left with squat.
As a car-free household, a big chunk of my taxes is going toward subsidizing car-owning households. Instead of penalizing my green decision, why not reward it?
