Federal Legalization of Marijuana

Created by S.H. on December 05, 2013

Marijuana has never caused a death through direct consumption, yet is treated as a level 1 narcotic. The legalization could lead to federal tax revenue, less people in our jails resulting in less taxpayers' dollars being used for basic needs of "criminals", and lead to a much more docile population. Alcohol is one of the most destruction drugs on the planet, yet continues to be sold out of every convenient store. Nicotine and tobacco lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths annually. Why should we ban a nonaddictive, non-harmful, and medically acclaimed drug from the population? Leave the choice to the people.
