On federal level criminal offense for assaulting law enforcement agent(s) during times of threat for national security

I believe that for any nation to exist in these fluctuating times there must be an absolute obedience to the law and serious criminal persecution for those who exist disregarding the law, especially in times of distress, to gain personal advantage. Therefore to strengthen US' intelligence community please provide additional protection (political too) to the members of law enforcement and intelligence community members
